Full Moon Rising
by Keri Arthur
So much sex. It was like reading 50 Shades of Grey in that aspect, along with some bondage. Don't get me wrong, the plot of the book is interesting. Some unknown group creating half breed clones, trying to isolate the genes that makes vampires/weres/shifters what they are...what's not to like? Much like 50 Shades though, I thought some of the sex was unnecessary to the plot line. I was also a bit bothered by the part in the book where Talon threatens that he's going to have sex with her when they're wolves, which is apparently rape in the werewolf culture, but Riley doesn't seem to see it as rape when he has sex with her when she's unwilling because it's during the moon heat. It irked me a bit. Like other reviewers have pointed out, the world created by Arthur makes sense at first, then slowly begins to unravel as the book progresses. Overall though, I give the book 3.5 stars, because I did like it for the most part.
