I think this is my favorite Brian book. It was certainly my favorite as a kid. I'm re-reading the whole series now, and I don't know if these books formed this preference in me or if it is an innate thing and these books just appealed to it, but I love stories that show in great detail how someone who is good at something does that thing. These books are all that. It's the literal thought process behind figuring our how to do wilderness things. So great.
