Breathless by Helen Hardt

I am shocked by how much I loved this book and excited to read the next ones!!!
Let me start off by saying I have read all of Talon, Joe, and Ryans books. I love all of them so much as each book you get to know more and more about every character and the crazy events this family goes through. BUT I am so shocked because I honestly never really cared for Marjorie's character in all the other books. To me she seemed like a forced character and never really talked about much. So I did have some doubts going in.
I read the first 3 chapters and was already on my way to Barnes and Noble to get the next book before i even finished it! I love how Marj and Bryce's story are so much different then the Steele brothers and their romances. Don't get me wrong I love the big cowboy brother more than anything but for some reason these two seem so real.
I do though have some annoyances throughout the book such as the reasoning behind Marjories guilt, to me it seems so stupid and selfish to be upset about something that you had no control overt when you were a child. It's like shes looking for an excuse to be sad or someone to baby her. Bryce does have a real issue that his dad was the one who raped and killed children. I understand his guilt but will he make up his DAMN mind on if he wants her or not!?!?!
My favorites about this book are the little snippets into Jades new pregnancy and Melanies pregnancy. You don't hear much about ruby which is fine but she is still talked about which i find interesting because I loved all their characters so much it makes me think their story hasn't ended!
THE BEST PART THOUGH, which is somewhat twisted was the end. It has to do with miscommunication and them not making up their minds about each other but the book ends with a huge twist and almost makes you kind of sad yet angry with Marj.
I think this definitely ranks in one of the better saga's so far but I still think Talon and Jades is the best because it started the whole thing off! Just remember to keep an open mind when reading this book because it will put you on a roller coaster of emotions, probably because their love relationship is a little bit more relatable to a real life situation.
