Catherine Wright wants to put her past behind her after a massive high school incident with a teacher. She want to work at the local diner and take care of her daughter Brenna. All that gets flipped on its head when she saves famous hockey player Brett Madden from a burning car after an accident.
For a book that I would call a "basic romance," it is so cute and funny while handling some really heavy topics. There is a child in the book the whole way so be aware of that. This was a book that was simple in the most beautiful way possible, pure strangers finding connection. Also big TW/CW for Catherine's mother-daughter dynamic.
