I enjoyed the Last Mrs Parrish and so was looking forward to reading this. Was thoroughly disappointed. The main event that drives the plot is Daphne – that same Daphne who elegantly plotted to get out of her abusive marriage – deciding to go back to Connecticut because her daughter wants to see her dad instead of explaining that her ex-husband was abusive for some reason that never is made understandable. And after all her decisiveness in getting full custody in the first book, she never considers that her ex might scheme to get his daughters back. Extremely frustrating sequel.
