I can’t decide if this book deserves 2 stars or 4 stars. The main character is self-centered and horrendous most of the time, but July did well with the MC’s voice. Hardly any plot or character development, but some interesting development of themes that are important to talk about. Without the discussion of menopause, queerness, and life’s nonstop knocking you to your knees, this book could have been zero stars. Don’t regret reading, and couldn’t put it down, but not a must-read because some parts were disturbing and unnecessary, and not in a good way.
