Endurance: A Year in Space, a Lifetime of Discovery by Scott Kelly

5.0

I am just so impressed with this book. Scott Kelly writes an impressive memoir of his time growing up interwoven with his year in space. The writing is simplistic at it's core and you get the sense that Scott Kelly isn't out to impress anyone, he just wants to tell his story. It feels like you are just sitting down with Scott and having a conversation. I envy his life story and that he was able to find what he wanted and endlessly pursue his dreams. His commitment to getting to where he wanted to go was impressive to read about. The way he tells the story of his year in space makes you feel like you are just there, living it day by day. After reading it you feel like you really were there with him, and the awe and magnitude of space flight is just mind boggling. I loved this book. I feel a need to read the book that inspired Scott Kelly through it all... so it may be time to read The Right Stuff.

Thank you Scott for sharing your experiences with us.
