Well written, it is a pleasure to follow some thought-chains of unexpected links between various aspects of impact of biology on history. 
Main shortcoming is that it is short and areas described seem a bit like a random excerpt from a greater work than a full ano wholesome book. 
But maybe I would be left hungry however long the book would be, because it is so good...
