This was a very interesting read!
It was a dark historical story set during the times of the Spanish Inquisition, a Jewish convert who practiced magic falling in love with an immortal man. It is a darkly beautiful tragedy. It’s filled with a lot of great imagery, lots of neat tidbits about history
I think that if this was a bit faster, or leaned more on the supernatural than the mundane political machinations of 16th century Spain and the Catholic Church, I would have devoured this , cherished it more.
But still very good if you want a historical romance with a touch of tragedy and the supernatural.
