Another Booker prize nominee I probably wouldn't have picked up had it not been nominated. I'm very grateful I did though, and sooner or later, I will also read the first and second book in the trilogy. I found it hard to properly access the story without knowing much about Zimbabwe's history since the book doesn't give a lot of background information. That, however, is entirely on me and made reading this while having the Wikipedia page on Zimbabwe open a very enriching experience.
