This story was a fast read not because it was written for younger readers, but because of the action. Omar, the German Shepherd dog who was rejected from the Police Force because he was "dumb" gets special training from Bob. Written back when police dogs were used more for show than for actual work, this is a fascinating look at what a police dog can do. And much of it is based on real events.

There were a few euphemisms, but not many.
