I'll be honest, I mostly picked this up because I follow the author on Instagram and think her schtick is hilarious, and I'm glad I did.
In spite of the fact that I thought every single character was a complete moron I really liked the way the story played out - particularly the ending. Definitely isn't a shining beacon of perfect writing, but it is a debut so we'll see if her others are better.
I didn't understand why both main characters constantly had the thought that anyone being nice to them meant they wanted to sleep with them (or at least the wife, the husband was having an affair so that at least makes sense that he'd be that self-absorbed), but they did and it was exhausting.
