Camera Shy
by Kay Cove
This is the first book by Kay Cove that I have read. While it took me a few days to read (only because I was busy), it was a decently fast read.
The book starts with our FMC getting dumped and moving to Las Vegas for the summer to house sit as a favor for a friend/client. While there, she befriends her new neighbor, a photographer who specializes in boudoir shoots. Avery, the FMC, struggles a lot with her body as she is portrayed as a curvy girl and Finn, the very fit and hunky MMC, stands by her during her journey to self-love and acceptance.
Avery really learns a lot about herself, her sexuality, her relationships, etc. as the book goes on. Towards the end of the book, I literally let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding (hahaha) as I had the exact experience Avery did with her relationships/friendships. I felt for her in that moment.
We can't exclude the spice. There was everything you could imagine and one of the tropes in this book would be considered "sex coach" so be prepared for all things in that aspect.
