This has definitely been one of my favorite memoirs to date. I am a little biased by how much I love Michelle Obama, but this was just a lovely reading experience.
I listened to the audiobook for this, which is definitely what I would recommend for anyone planning on reading this. Michelle reads this herself, and on top of having a great reading voice, it also adds an awesome personal touch to the story.
The book covers pretty much anything you would like to know, from her childhood to meeting Barack, to becoming a mother and then the first lady of the US. She shared a lot of detailed and personal moments, while also discussing her husband and his politics and time in the white house. The story had a little bit of everything, which I appreciated immensely.
