I expected a lot from this book as I lived The Songbird and the Heart of Stone and generally love Carissa Broadbent's writing.
I loved Asar and Mische in book 1 and went through it reading the ending.
I don't know why but this book didn't click.
Characters felt flat, plot felt oddly paced and predictable. I'm not as excited for the next duet but the story seems a bit different than the two other duets and so I'll probably try it.
