BEAUTIFUL AND THOUGHT PROVOKING! ♥️
This books follows Jude and her mother as they leave war-torn Syria for Cincinnati to live with her uncle. There, she learns many things including a new language, culture, and just want it means to be an American.
Everything about this book was amazing. I literally do not have a bad thing to say about this as it is truly one of the most touching stories I've read. Jude is just a beautiful character and her pureness is so heart-warming. Watching her immigration journey that is reflective of so many others is important to our history and understanding of the sacrifices that are made to move to a new country.
The writing was gorgeous and the format of in-verse was a wonderful addition to an already beautiful story!
