The Little Mermaid was my absolute favorite growing up, so I was already biased going in. And this is SUCH an incredible version of that story. I loved Melanie/Ariel from the beginning! Her meet-cute with Eric was top tier. We love a celebrity trying to be a real person trope. The music industry and celebrity aspects of this book were fascinating and such a cool thing to include. I also love the seven sisters being there and supporting each other, especially to turn the tables on their greedy, power-hungry, overbearing father to take over his label.
