OKAY. I literally inhaled this. I'm obsessed with friends to lovers, and this slowburn was legitimately incredible. I thought the characters were quirky and funny, there was such good banter, and there were DEFINITELY some LINES. I cannot believe we were blessed with duo POV on this. And the realization scene that Breaker had was PERFECT.
I will say that the drama drove this book. And around 75% of the way through the book, the conflict drops off and it becomes literally just fluff. Listen. I love fluff as much as the next person, but I wanted just a TAD more angst before we came to the loveliness of the HEA/epilogue. Overall, though, this book delivered on exactly what I wanted. The backdrop of Lia getting married to someone else just added. A+ work.
