Dangerous Games by T.K. Leigh
5.0
Dangerous Games was an intense game of Tug-of-War. Dangerous Games tugged at my heart. The characters tugged at my soul. The mystery of the abandoned baby tugged at my spirit. Dangerous games tugged at my responsibilities, I would read a chapter and get ready to work and get tugged right back into the book. Dangerous Games grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Any book that can do that deserves more than five stars. So here is to MORE!!
T.K. Leigh wields a wicked pen. She started Asher and Izzy's story in Vegas. She put the characters and this reader through so many emotions. I felt them gut deep. I cried hard. Just when I thought the a happily ever after was just a page away the author created obstacles that the characters had to climb.
There is so much that I want to say, but SPOILER ALERT. Poor Izzy. I can't imagine what it would be like to be with one and love another. To have one night, knowing there would be no more. To love deeply and not have more. To want to ignore the idea of What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. To live knowing you can't have what you desire most.
And when you find that the other person feels the same way but knows it can't happen life becomes a Dangerous game of tug-of-war. Go for the woman and loose the brother. Go for the man and create a rift between brothers. To discover the biggest tug of war had been silent and deliberate, well that is a dangerous game.
Couldn't resist and read it a second time. Still brilliant. Still thrilling. Still gut wrenching. I will admit a couple of issues made me angrier this time around. Some characters URGH!!!
