Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley

3.0

Good, but long and full of YA style epiphanies, cheesy romance, and 'telling not showing' moments that annoyed me. The book does a good job describing real, important issues, but I felt like Daunis's relationship with Jamie made it all a bit less serious, although it did balance out the book so it wasn't all heartbreak and trauma. The middle was a slog, but the last quarter was very exciting and I couldn't put it down.
