My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren

4.0

I read this in one sitting and am surprised with how much I enjoyed it.

I don't always get lucky when it comes to Christina Lauren, they're never INTENSE five stars for me. They either mess up the pacing, or the ending, or I don't get along with the characters.

But this book felt super realistic. This group of friends realizes they have been enabling each other to stay single for too long, and they decide to give a go at online dating together. (I won't give you more info than this, because I think this book is SO MUCH better if you jump into it blindly), and the entire thing was funny, down-to-earth, charming and cute.

But you know me and friends to lovers. It's my kryptonite.

These characters are pretty flawed, in a natural way. I didn't give this book five stars because I think it was missing a little extra tension and the female main character made me really angry near the end, but only because I fell in love with the male main character, and I'd kill people to defend him and protect him and love him for the rest of my life.

Anyways, recommend the read. It was light, easy and fun!
