Craft by Adriana Locke

5.0

Craft is the second book in the Gibson Boys series by the fantastic Adriana Locke. I've been a fan of Adriana's since the very beginning and she keeps solidifying my fangirl status by writing characters who I can't get enough of. I am loving these Gibson boys! As I said after I read Crank, I usually have a favorite brother from the first book. But with these men, I can't pick one! It's extremely frustrating and freeing at the same time! They are such a tight nit family, yet they are all so different. They may look alike (God help us all!), but their personalities, jobs, attitudes are very different. We met Lance in Crank. He's the eldest brother. The sexy, one night stand having history teacher(be still my heart!). Lance is tall, dark and handsome. He's smart, sassy and sexy. His dirty mouth is out of control and I wanted to slap him and kiss him at the same time. He loves to push Mariah's buttons. She's the sexy school librarian. He flaunts his women in front of her and steals her cupcakes. Ones he thinks are just for him. Mariah finds Lance Gibson irritating. Well, irritatingly hot with his good looks, sexy glasses and his love of the cupcakes she may or not make just for him. He's a player with a capital P, but he's awfully nice to look at and banter with. And fantasize about. But being with him isn't a possibility. She wants long term, forever and Lance is very short term. Lance doesn't hide his attracting for Mariah. He wants her. Badly. She's not only hot, she's fun, interesting and smart. He likes spending time with her and that has him all twisted up. Can their sexy, dirty, banter turn into something more? Will Lance finally trust someone enough with his secret? Could Mariah be the one he's been waiting for? I loved this story! Lord have mercy, Lance Gibson is everything. Funny, smart, sexy, handsome, loyal, loving, vulnerable and dirty mouthed. The things that man says out loud make me blush! Mariah is independent, sassy and doesn’t let Lance get away with his crap! I loved that about her. She's strong and sweet. She's exactly the right woman to tame Lance Gibson. I loved seeing the other Gibson boys and Peck and I also loved a few of the students. I was great seeing Mr. Gibson interact with them. Overall, I loved it! I laughed, cried, got turned on, blushed and didn't want it to end! Bring on Machlan!

“This isn’t a date,” I point out.
He considers this. “Yeah, I think it is. You just leveled up. From hippie to me. You’re winning today.”
“Do you live to annoy me?”
“No, but watching you get all hot and bothered does turn me on.”
“Oh my God. Stop it,” I hiss.

There are more than one of you?” she asks, her hand flying to her chest. “Your poor mother.”
“Oh, no, sweetheart. There’s only one of me.”
Her eyes roll around her head. “I’m sorry. I forgot who I was talking to.”
