An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

3.0

I actually liked this book.
I loved the sentient compost heap when it was hacking the two legged ones to bits.

Spoiler glamour
Her descriptions were on point! And all three stars are spent for just that.

However, there was no character development. There were these things, and none of them were more than mere cardboard cutouts. I couldn't relate to any of them and I only finished it last night but I can barely recall who was who. IMO, the book was probably too short? So much was planned and the ending was rushed and these people were fighting tooth and nail for love and I was like, wait! When did this happen? What's going on?

Maybe it's just me and my emotional range of a teaspoon...
