God, I like it when CanLit is good. I have wanted this sequel for years! Tay and I JUST attended a Kingston Writers Fest with the author which made me appreciate this book in a hundred ways. The bear! JC breaking his leg! The militia racists getting betrayed! The ending. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜®ðŸ˜®ðŸ˜²
Writing the sequel from the daughter's perspective was a great move. Surprised by how much of a slow burn it is... the group doesn't meet another human for 150 pages, but then... the intensity of the meetings when they do happen... I get it. Kudos. The second half is a ride.
