Powerless was one of my favourite reads of 2023 and naturally, Reckless was one of my most anticipated sequels in a long time.
She tastes like a piece of the heaven I won't be going to.
My expectations from this trilogy is simple, I'm a simple gal with simple needs - I want angst, tension, yearning, banter and a straight up good time.
With that in mind, Reckless delivered. There was tension, and banter and the yearning. But something didn't quite scratch the itch like Powerless had. The start had me and the ending had me, but there was something in the middle that just lost me - maybe the repetitiveness?
The plot is minimal, the plot twists are predictable, and it's not exactly unique - but that's not what I'm expecting anyways.
What I want from the next book: more angst, more yearning, more banter and a whole lot more from Kitt.
