Beautiful descriptions, ending came together nicely. I struggled to fully enjoy the book as for the first two thirds it feels like nothing really happens. The main reason I couldn't rate it any higher was that I couldn't get behind a hypocritical mass murderer as a main character, no matter how much nuance was attempted. She was very quickly forgiven for really awful behaviour by the other characters which also didn't feel at all believable. Having said that I think the author writes lovely prose and would be interested in reading more by her.
