The adventures continue as Bea and Cad the Galdurian seek to save the source of light in the world while battling the dark being trying to absorb it all. In the first book, Bea struggles with her anxiety and fear and indecision. In this one, her trauma has caused her to be both a bit more confident and colder. She still grapples with her fear and anxiety but is less likely to freeze and more likely to push through and take action. But she also doesn't have much time to process, feel, or understand what is happening, and I hope to see that explored more in the next book.
