The Clockwork Ghost by Laura Ruby

5.0

One of my new favorite characters is Ono! It reminded me warmly of Mo from Wall-E (Mo, foreign contaminant!) In all, SO GOOD. Unexpected revelations and looking forward to read the next.

Also, in light of everything that's going on now, I appreciate how the author wove in some unconscious (and conscious) bias (racism) incident(s). Because, even though the book was written before the current times, this has been going down for a while now and it's just now "more accessible" to see that this more than a common occurrence (sadly). And the incidents weren't written in a way to make this earth-shattering. As in, that wasn't the point of the book, but part of the character's story (stories), but I find that kind of sad. What becomes "normal".

Overall, good read, page-turner.
