A little too dark for me. It’s enthralling in the sense that the atmosphere set up here feels immersive. This story is about how Uichi got involved with the Yakuza. It contains dark themes of murder and rape. There’s a question of how much Uichi is actually controlling and his lack of upset over some of the events in the story made it even darker.

So, I’m sure, if these themes are what you’re looking for, you’ll enjoy it but it’s just not my cup of tea.
