This was a twisty, gut wrenching, crazy ride. Had me thinking about the rest stops I’ve been to, especially the ones I’ve stayed the night at. There was an element of too many mistakes made that led to more despair, but it could also be realistic in the sense that none of us have any idea how we would handle this type of scenario. If Darby had done everything perfectly, it would end up being a boring unrealistic too meticulously laid out story.
What would YOU do if you were in Darby’s shoes? Can you even imagine finding a kidnapped child locked in a dog crate in a car you parked next to? Or how you would orchestrate an attack on the kidnapper?
I would have liked the story to have been wrapped up with a bit more details of what happened in the end, but overall this was a fantastic read that didn’t let me put my kindle down for a minute! Solid 4.5 ⭐️’s.
