Before We Were Strangers

I’d for sure watch the indie movie adaptation for this book if there ever was one. It did read like a fan fiction, but it was fun to read about two people so helplessly in love. Fun fact I also read this entire book with my boyfriend over the course of a week long trip (him reading over my shoulder and eventually getting so hooked he just read along with me). The Third Movement was SO juicy it was crazy. I think Matt is defined by his pride and Grace is defined by her humility. And I really wish we knew more about what happened in the fifteen years that passed. I don’t find it convincing that Matt and Elizabeth had a marriage that presumably lasted a decade??? When it’s obvious he never got over Grace. Fifteen years is such a long time and I think the Third Movement really proves that. I love Ash I think she’s fantastic. And for the most part I enjoyed the ending.
