The House in the Cerulean Sea
by TJ Klune
I read it just because of the hype. Literally. I wanted to read it before but dropped it because of a certain reason but this time I put it aside just because everyone couldn't stop loving and raving about it. While the idea of the story is great and it has been nailed perfectly, I was reminded pretty vividly as to why I shouldn't have picked it up at all.
The children were so sweet that they melted ny heart. The island was such a lovely place to live in that I dream to see such a place once in my life. But other than that I was more uncomfortable reading all of this and the idea of bringing the change seemed preposterous just after a single attempt. I am sorry but it seemed unreal to me.
All in all it proved to be an average book for me.
