Spider-Gwen, Volume 3: Long Distance by

3.0

"Spider-Gwen: Long Distance" is a disorganized confusing mess of a book that does little to advance the overall Gwen Stacy / Spider-Gwen of earth 65 story.

This book actually only contains two issues of the original Spider-Gwen title. These issues actually do very little for the overall story arc other than to provide a clumsy escape from Gwen's previous dependency on 'Power Ups' to use her spider powers.

The rest of the book is comprised of semi (un)related issues from other titles. Although these stories do involve Spider-Gwen, they do not add anything to the overall story arc and most of them are are not very well done or even interesting. The only exception to this is the last story which focuses on The New Wolverine and contains a fast paced and humorous body swapping story that is actually worth reading.

One final note, if you do read this book you will probably want to read "Spider-Man/Spider-Gwen: Sitting in a Tree" next, since it contains several "Spider-Gwen" issues that directly proceed the official fourth volume "Spider-Gwen: Predator".
