Full disclosure, I wasn’t going to be able to finish this book anyway due to the fact that I checked it out from my library and I am about to move part way across the country, just frankly I willingly gave up on this book. The usage of random pop culture references shattered any sense of a well developed world and the characters weren’t all that likeable! Someone described this as Percy Jackson meets The Hunger Games but no, those books don’t deserve this comparison.
