The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones

3.0

3.5 - Cute and spooky, with an original and interesting concept. The writing style was vivid enough to get me to finish this book in one go. Unfortunately, although Ryn and Ellis are adorable characters, they’re very much ordinary YA protagonists, with an insta-romance and a conveniently resolved questline to boot. I think I was reading more for the zombie goat than anything. Still, though The Bone Houses isn’t revolutionary by any means, I do think it has a lot of heart to it. Recommended for light, wholesome (but ~spooooky~) reading.
