sacp 's review for:
Ptolemy's Gate
by Jonathan Stroud
This book was much better than the other two — a good ending to the series. I enjoyed Kitty’s character development, learning more about Ptolemy, seeing Nathaniel grow, and how everything comes together at the end. Bartimaeus is now one of my favorite narrators; his witty commentary made the series much more enjoyable.
One thing I didn’t understand was the “say hello to Kitty for me” comment at the end. If Kitty thinks Bartimaeus and Nathaniel are both dead, she won’t ever try to contact Bartimaeus—so he’ll never be able to pass on the greeting...I did like how Nathaniel did the right thing at the end though and how that tied in with Ptolemy’s story.
