Equally happy and sad to have River and Adam's book as it's the final one of the series. It's known that River has been in love with his best friend forever but Adam was getting married to Victoria who, as everyone else knew, wasn't the best match for Adam and she shows that by leaving before the wedding and leaving a note for someone else to tell him.
River may not have liked Victoria but he would never wish this on his best friend. However, they end up going on Adam's planned honeymoon, along with his brothers and their partners and having an amazing time. In some ways they reconnect after Adam had been obviously spending more time with his fiancĂ©e than his best friend. However, most unexpected is what Adam starts to see in his best friend.
A bisexual awakening, demisexuality, best friends to lovers romance that is fairly low angst, minus the leaving at the alter and pining for the best friend. The strong sense of family really shines through, with support, love and a healthy dose of fun. Adam and River's strength of connection and friendship is felt from the start and only deepens as they find a new aspect to share. A highly recommended romance that can be read as a standalone but more enjoyable if you've read the series, I think, though I'm probably biased.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
