Quick and to the point because I am out of practice with this.
at times the anthology (this is still an anthology of 13 horror stories (hehe) even if it's bound into a book) of Bayan Court really dragged and two out of the bunch were a total miss with me, but at end everything comes together, tied up in a beautiful ribbon of poetic justice that I just. eat up. completely.
everyone is saying wtf Jonathan Sims, but I knew what I came for and, even if I saw the twist coming from the beginning, it was delivered masterfully and I still was pleasantly surprised by it, and in the end that what marks a good book for me.
I would like to revisit sometime like I am doing The Magnus Archives and see how it holds up, but not soon, like the protagonists of Thriteen Stories I need this ghost put to rest for a bit.
