This book wrecked me in the middle of an afternoon during my lunch break at work. The emotional fallout and healing in this story was so beautifully written and deeply felt. I especially loved Misaki’s character, her character as a mother and trying to find her identity deeply resonated with me. Each character was really well developed even the side characters had depth.
That said, the ending left me a bit underwhelmed after the insane halfway point of the story. After everything everyone went through, it felt like things wrapped up a little too quickly. And that that story felt a bit unfinished.
But the writing is gorgeous and some moments will definitely stick with me.
