This book was a lot of info dumping. Just when I feel like I’ve got the hang of everything… I don’t lol. I don’t know if it’s just me, or the book.

Not much was a shock in this book. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be that way… or if the reveals were supposed to be big. That seems to be a running theme with this series.
It was pretty slow, but still a decent read. The first 100 pages were fire though.
So much could have been cut out, I’m not sure what was with all the dragging and repetition of stupid stuff. Like yes, I get it. Cas likes knives and stabby women. Poppy likes stabbing. It turns him on. They like to fuck a lot. Yes, Willa’s journal is an inside joke. Does it have to be mentioned every 5 seconds with them? They have nothing better to talk about than knives and stabbing and Willa and horniness? And ok fine, poppy asks a lot of questions (the authors way of giving us more world building). That could have been done more subtely than her saying hey I have another question and Kieran complaining.

I also feel like Poppy is pretty OP with all this new found power? Just way too much too fast. It just seems to convenient. But I guess we’ll see
