To sum it up: fictional book about drug addiction.
I'll start by saying, I've never had a serious addiction, so I don't know how offensively or not it is artistically portrayed in this. However, I am a woman and this book definitely feels as if a middle age man is writing what he thinks young women think/speak like. Who,as a grown ass adult woman, thinks of worms crawling up into her "coochie. Coochie coochie coo" when something tickles her leg?
It's a unique book for sure. Poorly written in terms of character thoughts and dialogue. The characters complete disregard for self preservation, bravery, stupidity, whatever you want to call is is incredible at times. Some things also seem unrealistically large such as the monument made out about her at the end?
All in all i did not enjoy it. I've never read a book quite like it which is why I was curious to finish it, but through the last quarter of it, the book just became a meth/heroine/generalized drug addiction story re-skinned.
TLDR: good idea, poor execution.
