This was boring, absurd, and pointless. The personality of the characters was not well structured, meaning they will behave some way on one chapter and then they'll behave in a completely opposite way next chapter. Most of the characters seem to have bipolar disorder thanks to this. The "mystery" was completely taken from the author's sleeve since there wasn't enough building in the story to make me believe what happened is exactly what happened. Another way of convenient where magically the protagonist resolved everything after trying to find answers for 150 pages. A "sidekick" who suddenly saves the day twice and that's his whole contribution just because, and then the villain goes "Do you wanna know how and why I did it? I'll tell you" without anyone asking for an explanation and explaining everything in 3 pages. Didn't like this at all, but I have to admit the world of Brimstone sounds appealing. Don't take this "cosy mystery" serious, it exhasperated me more than I enjoyed it. I'll keep reading just to know how everything develops, but I don't have my hopes up.
