The Unhoneymooners is a spectacular example of the genre. A strong enemies to lovers fake relationship story, Lauren writes strong characters and witty banter that will draw in any reader fond of the genre. I love Lauren's final conclusion that we create our own destiny and choose how we approach life as well as the way she skillfully creates believable and realistic conflict that has us still rooting for the main characters. Don't skip this one.
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Fatphobia
Sexual content: Ah, what would be a romance book without the random sex scene in the middle? It's very skippable -- as soon as you see what's about to happen, just flip to the end of the chapter. I will give Lauren props for the fact that there is only one, and the rest of the book just occasionally references the desire for the two main characters to take their clothes off.
Fatphobia: The main character is pissed at the other main character for what she sees as a fatphobia aggression several years before. The incident is described in her internal dialogue. It turns out to be a misunderstanding.
