The Girl of Fire and Thorns
by Rae Carson
Not once but twice there was a pored/poured misuse (characters "poured" over books, like sauce, presumably), and there was a lot of slang that seemed out of place in a book that otherwise reads as high fantasy. These are my two large quibbles with what was otherwise an engaging fantasy. I appreciated that the main character started out flawed and grew into her strength while also being predestined for greatness.
