The main characters of Summerlong have a lot in common with one another-unrealized potential,unfulfilled longing and restlessness. These emotions converge to generate reckless behavior(s)among and between them. Don is dealing with a career that's failing and a secret he is trying to keep from his wife, Claire is questioning her marriage and her inability to settle down and write her second novel, ABC is dealing with intense grief and Charlie, a failed actor, has come home to deal with his father's house as his father declines into the wells of dementia. They try to chase their problems away with drinking,
smoking weed,inappropriate affairs and suicidal thoughts. This review is not done.
