Upon a Dark Night by Peter Lovesey

4.0

What I like most about the Peter Diamond series is that Lovesey draws upon the setting in and around the city of Bath. The character of Peter Diamond is also a draw. He is the irascible, but lovable, detective, who frequently acts before thinking. He is brilliant, although sometimes wrong when he follows his gut instincts. I read this novel quickly and was fairly well satisfied with the ending. I like the way he has two murders and a mysterious amnesia victim and brings all three plot lines together at the end.
