Ever After Always by Chloe Liese

4.0

This was more of a 3.5 for me. We find out fairly quickly what the issues are in Aiden and Freya’s marriage and these issues are repeated and discussed ad nauseam in the first 200 pages.

My biggest issue with these books is the dialogue. I do not think anyone talks the way the Bergman family does, and I know they’re all supposed to be “woke.” Too many sappy & overly insightful dialogue between characters and it all seemed disingenuous and scripted.

I keep coming back because the characters are always fun, likeable and have tangible chemistry with one another. I like reading about the sometimes physical or mental challenges these characters face and their impacts on the romantic lives of these characters.
