This is a spicy, why-choose, Camelot retelling with sword crossing and insta-love/lust vibes ... which are all things I enjoy. There's mischievous magic at play, and I personally wish the author would have focused on that a bit more, as I have questions and the book left me with an "it is what it is" answer. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the book, loved the spice and Guin's interactions with the Knights, but the second half dragged on eventually picking up at the last few chapters. This is multi-POV but mainly focused on Guinevere's perspective, and she can get on my nerves. Lastly, I saw this "cliffhanger" of an ending coming from a mile away.
