Old Man's War
by John Scalzi
Now, this is something I really liked.
You see, I consider myself a huge sci-fi fan but honestly, I read maybe 1 or 2 books from this genre to this day. I think I haven't found that subgenre that really interests me. Until this book.
If the Old Man's War is considered the best military sci-fi, then I don't want to read any other, because I would just compare it to this title. It has great humour, action, the base concept is also really interesting!
The characters have a soul, I felt like I literally know these people as a friend. Every one of them had something inside them, maybe their personality or build or anything else. That's quite cool.
Also, this was the first book that I read entirely in English. I think the language is 100% okay, as a non-native speaker I could easily understand everything.
