I wasn’t ready!! I had seen this book when I first started my bookstagram and I kept telling myself I would get around to it. I would see people posting it all the time and I still drug my feet and boy do I feel stupid. This book was simply incredible! Started it yesterday and finished it today!
In Yours Truly, we meet a recently divorced ER doctor, HBIC, El Salvadoran Queen, Briana Ortiz and a recently single, introvert, ER doctor with social anxiety named Jacob Maddox. Jacob was new at Royaume Northwestern Hospital where Briana was everyone’s fave. These two butted heads at first but became close from the time they accidentally met in the supply closet.
Briana’s brother Benny was in need of a kidney transplant but it wasn’t looking good for him while Jacob was tired of his family asking if he would ever move on due to who his ex girlfriend was dating at the moment. Both dealing with different kinds of stress, Briana said she would be Jacob’s fake girlfriend to help him out. Does this fake relationship ever turn real? Does Benny ever get that new kidney? Would Briana ever find true love again after her heartbreak?
I want to go in and tell you everything about this book but I can’t. You MUST read this for yourself. I love the diversity of the characters in the book. Glad I ended 2023 with this one. I have to go back and read book #1! I am absolutely in love with this book. I checked this out from the library but I will be purchasing it for my personal library! Amazing work Abby Jimenez!
